Kara Puerschner is an actor and screenwriter from Seattle, Washington. She first plunged into the art community at the age of six, when she won a gifted children's award. Soon after, she attained pageant titles and modeling gigs until she found her true passion in film. Kara has won the Future of Film award as well as a spot in the top three of a pitch panel at the Seattle Film Summit for the feature she penned at the age of thirteen. In her free time, Kara enjoys baking, guitar, piano, and singing.
Kara Rainer grew up in the Azalea district of the Rose City, Tyler, Texas. At a very young age, she began writing songs and plays to entertain her family and used her rank as the oldest sister to persuade (aka "forced") her 2 younger sisters to participate in her "musicals". Kara studied classical piano and voice, focusing on singing for many years until acting caught her attention. Kara has worked on commercials, television, music videos and several films across the United States. Having the opportunity to work in NYC in an Off Broadway Stage Show, working in Miami on a TV pilot as one of the leads in a comedic role, and rowing a canoe for 2 solid hours in a L.L. Bean commercial, in the freezing rain, have been some favorite experiences. She also loves narrative writing. Her first screenplay Rorrim, was selected to be in competition at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. Her ancestry is a fun rainbow of flavors including British, Irish, French, with a hint of Southern East African, Chinese, Angolan & Congolese.
